Architects are trained to see layers of color, form and motion – but through the lens of function, structure and regulation.
This design is not a building. It’s one of my original abstract artworks. However, the same creative instincts that guide my art also inform my work as an architect.
In both, there’s a tension, and a harmony, between imagination and discipline, freedom and constraints. Whether it’s a blank canvas or a building site, the process begins with a vision and ends with something tangible that reshapes the space around it.
I’m sharing this as a reminder that creative thinking is not separate from the technology needed to put a building together – it’s an essential part of it.
