The Ives Architectural Studio designs both large and small projects. This a design gem covering only 659 SF, The Iconic Barber Shop, is located on Rock Road in downtown Glen Rock, . It creates an intimate small town community image rather than the larger mall & salon type image. The design goal was to bring to mind barber shops of past generations with eclectic details and objects related to the history of barbering. This project was an instant success upon opening, attesting to the fact the excellent design and a strong image can affect business. Its unique location between two train stations assures a steady stream of customers as men come home from work in the city. The Ives team was responsible for transforming a white box into a vibrant business.
