Totowa, NJ
The Ives Architecture Studio staff has experience designing Highway Maintenance Facilities for N.J.D.O.T. and vehicle repair buildings. Joel Ives, AIA is the Architect of Record for both Totowa and Bloomsbury, NJ buildings which established standards for use at other D.O.T. facilities. Project facilities include a maintenance building, salt dome, vehicle storage building, volatile storage building and a fuel dispensing areas. The Totowa facility was designed to have a special emphasis on electrical repair and installation and is located along Route 80 in Totowa. The use of glass block provides natural light to the repair bays. The photographs attached are taken many years after the initial construction and illustrates that the complex has stood the test of time.
